Elkhorn Valley Animal Bedding

In animal bedding, quality is everything.  At Elkhorn Valley Bedding (EVB), we start with clean, kiln dried softwood (predominately pine) with no bark or dirt.  The wood is ground into a meal then pelletized to increase density.  The pellets are then cooled and screened to remove fines before bagging.

The small particle size of the wood greatly increases the surface area of the bedding giving it superior absorbent characteristics.  EVB bedding is able to hold up to three times its weight in water. EVB bedding suppresses odors, makes cleanup easy and doesn’t stick to coats.  And because we start with clean, kiln dried wood and pelletize it at temperatures in excess of 200 F, the bedding is virtually sterilized ensuring the best environment for animal health.

EVB offers bedding in three sizes:  1) whole pellet, 2) medium crumbled and 3) small crumbled.  No other competitor does this.  EVB customers can purchase the same superior bedding in a form that best suits their needs.

Whole Pellet Bedding

Signature line of bedding. Ideal for large animals (e.g. equine, beef, sheep and swine). Packaged in 1 cu. ft. poly bags, each bag weighs approx. 40lbs.,  50 bags to a pallet. Pallets covered with a 4 mil, UV protected shrink cover to make a tight, moisture resistant load.

Medium Crumbled Bedding

Pellets are crumbled to speed absorbency, reduce need for wetting and make it easier to walk on. Ideal for large animals (e.g. equine, beef, sheep and swine) as well as small (dogs, cats and rabbits). Doesn’t stick to coats. Packaged in 1 Cu. Ft. poly bags, each bag weighs approx. 36 lbs., 50 bags to a pallet. Pallets covered with 4 mil, UV protected shrink cover.

Small Crumbled Bedding

Ideal for small animals (dogs, cats and rabbits) but still effective for large animals as well. Crumbled pellets that pass through 3/16” screen, resemble oatmeal. Packaged in 1 cu. ft. poly bags, each bag weighs approx. 32lbs, 50 bags to a pallet. Pallets covered with 4 mil, UV protected shrink cover.
